Nikki Dickerson, M Ed, FMCHC, NBC-HWC
I am a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC), graduate of the Institute for Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA) where I currently serve as a course facilitator.
A graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce (it was actually East Texas State University then), I studied Kinesiology and Secondary Education, later receiving my Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas State University. I have served as both a teacher, coach and administrator in public education for the last 22 years. My lifelong love of health and wellness and an unexpected cancer diagnosis led me to a study of functional medicine and positive psychology. Combining my knowledge of Kinesiology and health with my experience as a teacher/coach and learning about the mind-body connection inspired me to pursue a profession as a health coach.
In my free time I enjoy running, stand-up paddle boarding, listening to good music or working in my yard alongside my dogs, cats and chickens. I also, however, love curling up with a good book or binging on the latest Netflix series. And as my jacket says in this photo - I also believe in Do Good & Have Fun!!
As a coach I am passionate about collaborating with clients to achieve their ideal wellness through a strengths based approach. I have a special interest in mind-body connection, relaxation techniques, stress transformation, personalized exercise implementation, integration of nutrition plans and supporting clients diagnosed with cancer.
